Anna Frozen Cupcakes with Minnie Mouse Ears

Ingredients

Fondant Ears Ingredients

  • 1 package blue fondant
  • 1 package dark pink fondant
  • 1 package black fondant
  • Pink and green edible marker

Spice Cupcakes

  • 1 box Spice cake mix
  • Ingredients as listed on the back of the cake mix box

Vanilla Frosting Ingredients

  • 3 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 6 C powdered sugar
  • 5-7 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Brown gel food coloring

Instructions

Fondant Ears Directions

  1. Sprinkle some powder sugar onto a cutting board
  2. Roll out the blue fondant into ¼ inch thickness and cut out 48 circles of the blue fondant for the ears

Bow Directions

  1. Powder your hands with powder sugar and mold the Pink fondant into a ball
  2. Pinch off 1 teaspoon size ball of fondant and press it into the larger bow size mold
  3. Make 24 bows
  4. mold the black fondant into a ball and pinch off 1 teaspoon size and mold into the smaller bow size
  5. Allow to dry overnight
  6. Using a little bit of water, lightly dap the back of the black bow and place onto the pink bow
  7. Allow to dry for a few hours
  8. Using the pink and green edible markers, draw of a tulip in the middle of the circles

Spice Cupcakes Directions

  1. Preheat oven as per directions on the box,
  2. Put the liners in the muffin pan. Set aside.
  3. Following the directions add ingredients.
  4. Mix all ingredients as instructed.
  5. Fill cupcake liners ⅔ full.
  6. Put in the oven and bake for 22 minutes.
  7. Check for doneness.
  8. If they are not done, check again every three minutes until they are done.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Vanilla Frosting Directions

  1. Using a standing mixer combine the butter, powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and mix on medium speed until combined and smooth
  2. Divide the frosting into two bowls
  3. Mix in a few drops of brown food coloring into one bowl
  4. Place the piping bag into a large cup and fold the sides over
  5. Scoop the brown onto on side of the piping bag
  6. Scoop the white onto the other side of the bag
  7. Pipe frosting onto the top of the cupcake
  8. Place the bow into the center of the frosting
  9. Place the ears onto the sides of the bow
