Bloody Red Velvet Cocoa- Halloween Treat
The Halloween season is upon us and pretty soon all the parents out there are going to be scratching their heads thinking “what can I make for this upcoming class party, trick or treat night, or our family party”? There are plenty of great ideas for spooky snacks and ghost shaped cookies out there, but this bloody red velvet cocoa steals the show! It’s smooth and creamy and extra creepy! Bloody red velvet hot cocoa is simple to make, homemade, and it is sure to turn heads. What better way to excite all the little goblins and ghouls than with a warm and delicious cup of hot cocoa perfectly suited for Halloween? The measurements are simple and easily multiplied so you can make up a large batch for a party or a small batch for your own little monsters! Add some gummy eyeballs or witches fingers and let your witches and ghosts top their own cocoa.
Cocoa ingredients:
1 cup of whole milk
½ cup of Chocolate syrup
1 - 1 ½ teaspoon red food coloring
1 teaspoon vanilla
Whipped cream:
¼ cup of heavy cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
Cocoa Directions:
Heat the milk in a small pot on medium heat
Add in the chocolate, and stir until well mixed
Add in red food coloring and vanilla
Whipped Cream:
Using a paddle of a tend mixer or a hand mixer whip the cream with the sugar and vanilla
Add the whipped cream to a pastry bag with a round tip
Top the cocoa with the whipped cream & you are ready to enjoy!
