    Chicken and Waffles

I hear a lot of people ask chicken and waffles, why? It does sound like a weird combination. But almost anyone I know who started off wondering why you would eat chicken and waffles together, now love chicken and waffles after eating these mini chicken and waffle sliders. Besides the fact that everything goes good with chicken, chicken and waffles are classic comfort food. The salty crispy chicken combined with the sweet waffles, with a little bit of syrup takes these chicken and waffles over the top. You get to taste everything, salty, sweet, crispy, and soft. It will make your taste buds dance.

    Who Invented Chicken and Waffles?

There is a lot of theories where chicken and waffles started and who invented. Some people say it started in 1930 at a restaurant in Harlem named Wells Supper Club. The other popular theory is that it started in the home kitchens of the Pennsylvania Dutch back in the 1600s. No one will ever know for sure where chicken and waffles came from.

These tasty treats are great for dinner, work well for a potluck or party, and of course, this best chicken and waffles recipe is great as a game day snack. Make these as a football game snack, to take with you as a tailgating snack, while watching basketball or use as a big game day snack, like a Superbowl snack idea. It doesn't matter why you make chicken and waffle sliders, you should just make them.

Do you put syrup on Chicken and Waffles

The simple answer is if you want. I always put syrup on my chicken and waffles. I know some people who do not like to put it on the slider. When it comes to putting the syrup on the slider, sometimes I put it directly on the waffle, sometimes I add it onto the chicken. The biggest thing to remember is to not add too much. A little goes a long way with chicken and waffle sliders. When I make chicken waffles, as in not a sandwich but served together, I will just put syrup over the whole thing.

    Chicken and Waffle Sliders Recipe

Making chicken and waffles at home is easy. It doesn't have to be anything complicated. To make this recipe simple, we are using chicken nuggets. This way, you are not spending hours in the kitchen making fried chicken. You certainly can make your own fried chicken for this chicken and waffles sliders recipe, but using the chicken nuggets will save you a lot of time and effort.

Can You Freeze Chicken and Waffles

While technically you can freeze anything, I do not recommend freezing chicken and waffles. These chicken and waffle sliders will not reheat well and will taste great after you attempt to reheat them. If you are concerned with making too many at a time, I would recommend making a smaller batch and making more if you need them.
