The recipe mixture in a glass mug.

I am a true choco-holic. I don't think there is a chocolate dessert that I haven't loved. Hot chocolate is like comfort food to me. I remember making it on cold winter days when the kids came in from the snow, or on days that I didn't feel great.  I used to laugh and say it is like a warm hug.

    Frozen Hot Chocolate

Over the wintertime, my kids will get very excited about the snow. Not because they love snow, although my youngest does, it is because that means there is an excuse to have hot chocolate. With the hot dog days of summer here, the kids are sad that the excuse for hot chocolate is here. That is because they haven't had frozen hot chocolate yet.

    Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe

The first time I heard of was back when I was working in the babysitting room at the YMCA. One of the moms came in handing out a paper with a Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe on it. It was a very basic recipe with homemade hot chocolate and ice. It was good but it wasn't special. But, it needed something more. It took a while of playing with the recipe but I knew I could find something that combined my love for hot chocolate and my love of special desserts. This incredible recipe was born.

How Many Weight Watchers Points In This Recipe?

When I made this I decided to use sugar-free ingredients to make it. When using sugar-free ingredients, it comes out to just 6 points per hot chocolate. If you need recommendations on sugar-free ingredients, I used Sugar-Free Hot Cocoa Mix, Lily's Sugar-Free Chocolate Sauce and Chocolate Pieces, and sugar-free whipped cream.
